Dont amend AFSPA,BJP warns Centre

DISSATISFIED with Sushil Kumar Shindes statement on the Srinagar attack,the BJP Thursday warned the government against amending the controversial Armed Forces Special Powers Act. The attack,which was sponsored by Pakistan,was another conspiracy against India. Pakistan continues to commit this mistake again and again but our government is only issuing statements. Home Minister should act and not only react, BJP spokesman Shahnawaz Hussain said.

Not only should AFSPA not be amended,it must be applied effectively in Jamp;K,he said. BJP would like to warn the government that the BJP will not accept amendments to AFSPA, he added.
