Hasan Ali Khan would have to remain in jail even after four days of interrogation by Enforcement Directorate, with the Supreme Court Friday saying that he cannot be released without its permission.
The court, clarifying its Thursdays order on cancelling his bail, said after four days of police custody,Ali will be remanded in judicial custody.
The courts clarification came after Khans advocate submitted that there was a lack of clarity on what would happen to him after four days of remand.
The ED had arrested Khan on March 7. after being pulled up by the Supreme Court for its failure to ensure his custodial interrogation.
The apex court, however, agreed to give early hearing to Khans case and preponed the date of hearing from April 4 to March 28.
