Deepak Parekh to get E038;Y lifetime achievement award

HDFC Chairman Deepak Parekh is the recipient of this year's 'lifetime achievement award' instituted by Ernst amp; Young,for "exceptional contribution in developing India's financial services sector",the firm said.

HDFC Chairman Deepak Parekh is the recipient of this year8217;s 8216;lifetime achievement award8217; instituted by Ernst amp; Young,for 8220;exceptional contribution in developing India8217;s financial services sector8221;,the firm said.

Ernst amp; Young also announced names of 14 8216;most visionary business leaders8217;,selected as the finalists for its Entrepreneur Of The Year EOY 8211; India 2011 award from among over 340 self-nominations,it said in a release today.

All finalists will be felicitated at a grand celebratory banquet on February 23 here.

8220;Our finalists represent individuals from varied sectors,who have not only touched many a life with their innovative and unique business models,but also created a global impact through their unique vision,8221; Ernst amp; Young India Country Managing Partner,Rajiv Memani,said.

The finalists 8212; selected by seven-member jury led by Maruti Suzuki Chairman R C Bhargava are: Max India Group Chairman Analjit Singh,Dabur India Chairman Anand Burman,Suguna Poultry Chairman B Soundararajan,Healthcare Global Enterprises Chairman and CEO B S Ajaikumar,MakeMyTrip India CEO Deep Kalra,Lupin Chairman Desh Bandhu Gupta,Mu Sigma CEO Dhiraj Rajaram,DHFL Chairman and CEO Kapil Wadhawan,FINO CEO Manish Khera,TCS Managing Director and CEO Natarajan Chandrasekaran,Redington India Managing Director R Srinivasan,Metropolis Health Services Chairman Sushil Shah and Samvardhana Motherson Group Chairman Vivek Chaand Sehgal.
