Credit card payments: Use your face

Instead of swiping a credit card to purchase goods,the customer gazes into a camera.

No more swiping credit cards to make payments! A new technology that allows customers to use their face facial features instead of swiping a credit card to purchase goods has been developed by a Finnish company.

The technology provided by Uniqul,works by recognising the customer8217;s face and then linking it to the individual8217;s bank account.

So instead of swiping a credit card to purchase goods,the customer gazes into a camera.

Uniqul claims its service is secured with military-grade algorithms,8217;The Australian8217; reported.

Uniqul8217;s Ruslan Pisarenko said the technology 8211; which is due to roll out next month 8211; has the ability for transactions to be completed instantly and can even distinguish between identical twins,8217;News Limited Network8217; reported.

According to Pisarenko,8221;the face is a PIN and it8217;s more like a complete way to identify a person.8221;

8220;But in some cases where the system is not 100 per cent accurate,it will ask a person to input their PIN as security,8221; he said.
