BSY slams party, may float his own

Yeddyurappa went a step further on Friday to suggest that BJP chief Nitin Gadkari could no longer play the role of his benefactor.

On the back of his boycott of the BJPs Surajkhund national executive meeting, former Karnataka CM B S Yeddyurappa sent out fresh threats of quitting the BJP on Friday while renewing his praise for the Congress.

Yeddyurappa, who has been virtually egging on the BJP to expel him,is reportedly sulking after the party leadership indicated that his aspirations of becoming the state party president ahead of the next Assembly polls would not be fulfilled. A couple of his supporters who have spoken against state ministers have been dismissed from official positions recently.

Yeddyurappa went a step further on Friday to suggest that BJP chief Nitin Gadkari could no longer play the role of his benefactor. You Gadkari by listening to leaders with vested interests have made me a scapegoat8230; You have not kept up your promises, he said. The Congress leadership from Jawaharlal Nehru to Sonia Gandhi never let down leaders following false allegations.

He also raised the problems the BJP is facing in Madhya Pradesh,Rajasthan and Maharashtra to highlight poor leadership. Yeddyurappas supporters claim the Lingayat leader will announce a new party, tentatively called Karnataka Janata Party,on November 19.
