Thimphu: An Indian couple died after drowning in the Mebartsho Lake,popularly known as The Burning Lake in Bhutan. The couple,hailing from Kolkata were backpackers,who had come to visit Bhutan via Phuentsholing with a special permit. There were no eye-witnesses to the incident. PTI
Pak arrests 18 for killing foreign climbers
Islamabad: Pakistani officials Thursday said they had arrested 18 people allegedly involved in killing 10 foreign climbers in the Himalayan region of Gilgit-Baltistan. The Jundul Hafsa,a faction of the Taliban,had claimed responsibility for the June 22 attack at the base camp of Nanga Parbat in Diamer district. PTI
