WASHINGTON: Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee announced he would not run for the US presidency in 2012. Huckabee late Saturday declared he would stick to being a television and radio figure.
Rebels say they control Misrata
TRIPOLI: Libyan rebels have taken full control of the western port city of Misrata,rebel fighter said Sunday. Abdel Salam said,The situation is almost frozen,as the rebels are in full control over Misrata. He denied conflicting reports suggesting rebels were advancing toward western city of Zlitan the next step to capital Tripoli.

CAIRO: A mob attacked a group of Christian protesters demanding drastic measures to heal religious tension,leaving 65 people injured,officials said Sunday. The protesters have been holding their sit-in outside the state television building in Cairo for a week following deadly Christian-Muslim clashes.
Chief of pro-govt militia killed in Pak
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani Taliban shot dead the head of a pro-government tribal militia,his son and a passer-by in the countrys northwest Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province,the police said. The attackers,who were riding a motorcycle,fled after the incident in Swabi district,officials said. Two armed militants fired at Etbar Khan,the head of an anti-Taliban militia of Mohmand tribal region. Sajjad Mohmand,the spokesman for the Taliban in Mohmand Agency,claimed responsibility for the attack.
