Shehla shooter refuses to record statement
Indore: Tabish Khan,arrested last month in connection with the murder of RTI activist Shehla Masood,refused to record his statement in the case on Monday,CBI officials said. He was produced before the special CBI court where he initially started giving statements,but stopped abruptly and then refused to go ahead with the statement.
Bhanwari trial to begin from April 20
Jodhpur: The trial of Bhanwari Devi abduction and murder case will begin in a local court here from April 20. The ST/SC court gave this date after hearing pleas from both sides. As many as 13 accused were produced in the court on Monday.

Amul milk prices to rise by Rs 2
AHMEDABAD: The prices of milk sold under the Amul brand is set to increase by a maximum of Rs 2 per litre in April. R S Sodhi,managing director of Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd,said this would be the first hike in this calendar year after prices of milk rose by almost 22 per cent over the last two years.
Two more AMRI directors get bail
KOLKATA: Two directors of AMRI Hospital,Manish Goenka and Ravi Todi,were on Monday granted bail by the Calcutta High Court in connection with the December 9 hospital fire that killed 90 persons. Goenka and Todi remained in custody for 116 days.
ULFA militant killed in Tinsukia
TINSUKIA: A hardcore ULFA militant has been killed and six others arrested following an encounter with the police in Tinsukia district of Assam. According to the police,the slain militant is yet to be identified.
Cop booked for kidnapping minor
LUCKNOW: An FIR has been lodged against a constable attached with the Government Railway Police for allegedly kidnapping the nephew of a sub-inspector posted in Agra. SI Mool Chand said constable Rakesh Chand,his wife Manjula and their son Shiv Pratap kidnapped his nephew,Govind 12,when he was returning home from school on February 27 over a dispute with him. The constable,however,said Mool Chand filed the complaint to settle old scores.
Harassed railway clerk attempts suicide
AJMER: Disturbed over alleged sexual harassment by two of her colleagues,a railway employee tried to commit suicide by setting herself on fire in front of the Divisional Railway Managers office here. The 38-year old,posted as a booking clerk at Beawar junction,received 70 per cent burns.
