LEH: Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah Monday told the Border Roads Organisation BRO to clear the Leh-Manali National highway within the next three days to restore Leh8217;s road link with the rest of the country. The highway was swept away by the flash floods.

Let MPs give from fund: Karan Singh

NEW DELHI: Congress MP Karan Singh Monday suggested that the Leh disaster should be treated as a National Calamity so that MPs can contribute to relief and rehabilitation from their MPLADS fund. He said he will give Rs 50 lakh as soon as it was done.

Mobile services partially restored

SRINAGAR: BSNL has partially restored mobile services to people in Leh by setting up two towers. 8220;Mobile services have been restored in a limited way,8221; BSNL GM R K Koul said. The flash floods had damaged the much of BSNL8217;s communication network and washed away its the exchange.
