HDFC extends teaser scheme till June 30

MUMBAI: Mortgage leader HDFC has extended concessional home loan scheme till June 30. Under the scheme,HDFC would offer a fixed interest rate of 8.25 per cent up to March 2011,9 per cent for the next one year and a floating rate thereafter. The offer will be available for all customers who avail at least part of the loan by June 30,an HDFC spokesperson said The scheme had actually ended on April 30.

Cos can draw forex for royalty payment: RBI

MUMBAI: The Reserve Bank of India has permitted banks to let firms draw foreign exchange for payment of royalty for technical know-how overseas without government8217;s prior permission,a move that will encourage technological collaborations. With this,RBI has operationalised the governments decision to do away with the requirement of seeking its permission in this regard.

Sebi panel for changes in networth criteria

MUMBAI: A panel set up by the Sebi has recommended changes in the eligibility and networth criteria for market intermediaries. The panel has recommended that the net worth for asset management companies should be increased to Rs 50 crore over a period of three years in a phased manner from the current limit of Rs 10 crore.

No change in RBIs exit roadmap: Gokarn

MUMBAI: The Reserve Bank has said the Greek debt crisis would not change its roadmap to exit from the accommodative stance. We do not believe that there is any reason to change our approach. Because it the Greek crisis is not showing signs of spilling over to a larger real economy problem, RBI deputy governor Subir Gokarn said.

Microsoft unveils Office 2010

NEW DELHI: Microsoft Corp on Monday announced the India launch of its software Office 2010,which incorporates the popular Word,Excel and Powerpoint applications. While the products will be available to business users from Monday,the retail consumer editions would be launched on June 15 this year.

Greatship files draft prospectus with Sebi

MUMBAI: Greatship India Ltd,a subsidiary of Great Eastern Shipping Company,said it plans to tap the capital market through an initial public offer and has filed a draft prospectus with market regulator Sebi. Greatship has proposed to make an initial public offer of its equity shares and filed a draft red herring prospectus with the Sebi on May 12,the companys parent Great Eastern Shipping said.

Mercedes petrol variant of C-Class

MUMBAI: Mercedes Benz on Monday launched a new petrol variant of its entry-level C-Class sedan in India,priced at Rs 28.44 lakh ex-showroom price,Mumbai. Mercedes-Benz India said that the C-Class is powered with the latest CGI technology.
