Blast rocks Aurobindo Pharma plant

According to police,three workers received burn injuries when a reactor exploded.

Three persons were injured in an explosion at Aurobindo Pharma Limited8217;s facility at Ranastalam,in Srikakulam district,today morning.

According to police,three workers received burn injuries when a reactor exploded at the generic drug-maker8217;s Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients API manufacturing plant.

8220;As per the initial information we received,there was a reactor blast at the facility. Three persons were injured and they were taken to a hospital in Visakhapatnam for treatment,8221; Ranastalam police inspector Venugopal Naidu said.

When contacted,a company spokesperson said they are yet to receive information on the mishap.
