Beatles8217; Ringo Starr rejects Pope

Beatles8217; legend Ringo Starr has rejected forgiveness from Vatican8217;s officials who once called him a Satanist.

Pope Benedict XVI sanctioned an article in the Vatican8217;s L8217;Osservatore Romano newspaper earlier this week in which the Beatles were praised for their 8220;beautiful8221; music and were absolved for their rock star decadence and experiments with drugs,Contactmusic reported.

The front-page editorial also addressed John Lennon8217;s controversial comments about the Beatles being 8220;bigger than Jesus8221; at the height of their success.

The newspaper8217;s editors wrote,8221;The Beatles said they were bigger than Jesus and put out mysterious messages,that were possibly even Satanic8230; but what would pop music be like without the Beatles?8221;

But Starr is far from impressed with the paper8217;s unwanted forgiveness as the drummer says,8221;Didn8217;t the Vatican say we were Satanic or possibly Satanic? And they8217;ve still forgiven us? I think the Vatican,they8217;ve got more to talk about than the Beatles.8221;
