Amit Shah roped in for Bihar function

Shah has been invited by BJP Scheduled Caste Morcha president Sanjay Paswan to attend a function.

Even as the Bihar BJP gears up for the rally in October to be addressed by Narendra Modi, his aide Amit Shahs presence in Patna on September 21 may provide the momentum for Modis rally.

Shah has been invited by BJP Scheduled Caste Morcha president Sanjay Paswan to attend a function. Shahs visit has started creating a buzz.

Paswan told The Indian Express: I wished to invite Narendra Modi but he was not available. But even Amit Shahs presence will ensure the party takes notice of our function.

Let me make it amply clear,I want to bargain with the party top brass to devote time and energy to broad-base the scheduled caste vote bank, he said, conceding the JDU had a great hold over Mahadalits. He confirmed that Shah would attend the function.

Paswan, who has written a 14-part encyclopaedia on Dalits, said he invited leaders like Sushil Kumar Modi and Rajiv Pratap Rudy to share the dais with Shah to touch upon issues of Supreme Court representation and empowerment.

Paswan said the BJP state unit needs to make itself strong in the Scheduled Caste bastions of Nitish Kumar to win more seats in the next polls. I want the attention of NDA PM candidate Narendra Modi towards need for the party redoing its strategy on Dalits, he said.

adding Bihar had 16.4 per cent scheduled caste population.

With LJP leader Ramvilas Paswan lying low,it is the right time for the BJP to strike, he said.

BJP leader and former Bihar deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi Tuesday said party patriarch L K Advani was like the iron of Ashoka pillar that does not rust. He also likened NDAs Prime Ministerial nominee Narendra Modi to architect Vishwakarma, who can unite and shape modern India.

This comes a day after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar took a jibe on the bickering within the BJP saying the party has allowed its iron man Advani to rust.

Sushil Modi told The Indian Express: Advaniji will remain our guiding force. This iron man is made of Ashoka pillar iron that does not rust.

Showering praises on the Gujarat CM,Sushil Modi said it was sheer coincidence that Narendra Modis birthday coincided with Vishwakarma puja. Vishwakarma was divine architect amp; Namo may be destined to become architect of modern India, he tweeted.
