By a margin of two to one or better,Americans believe that Edward Snowden is traitor,not a hero,who did serious damage to,rather than helping,the people of the United States. Americans do not consider him worthy of amnesty and believe he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, writes Kim Zigfeld. She says that by harbouring this malignant fugitive,Russia is committing an act of war against the US. Before granting asylum,Vladimir Putin had said that Snowden would have to stop his activities aimed at inflicting damage to our American partners. Zegfeld says that events have shown that Putin was simply lying as Snowden has been permitted to launch an all-out offensive against his former country. Last week,Snowden courted Brazil,asking for asylum there in return for helping Brazil undermine American intelligence-gathering. Before that,Snowden had made a similar offer to Germany. Moreover,new Snowden documents directly damaged Russias American partners by disclosing secret cooperation with Sweden and Norway against Russia. In the past few weeks alone,Snowden has sought to undermine US security interests in regard to not one,not two,three,but four different countries. So much for the value of Putins word, Zegfeld says.

A white Christmas

Fox News aired a segment by Megyn Kelly this week,proclaiming that Santa Claus is,in fact,a white man. Tef Poe points out that Santa is a fictional character based on an actual real person by the name of Saint Nicholas,but Santa himself is not real. He adds that Saint Nicholas was not white as paintings of him clearly suggest. Megyn claimed most of us wanted Santa Claus to be a non-white person because it makes us feel comfortable,but Santa can be anything we want him to be,because hes not real, Poe says. He writes that the precise reason Kelly wasted valuable air time to proclaim that a fictional character that never existed is white is because the status quo must feel comfortable at all times. He reminds Kelly that there is no toy factory at the North Pole and that Santa isnt a jolly,obese man with the ownership of a thousand little elves working around the clock to save Christmas. In the same report Kelly stated that history has verified the fact that Christ is also white. Poe ends by writing that if Kelly believes that Jesus was white,I guess all of a sudden Jews are considered white,despite the fact that Hitler murdered millions of Jews for not being white.

In Iraq,Facebook has become rife with pages featuring sex,reports Omar al-Jaffal. Since August,and without any paid advertising,the page of Oum Salah has gained more than 71,000 followers. Oum Salah offers the kind of sugar that is scarce in Iraq,given that premarital sex is considered a sin and that sexual relationships between unmarried young men and women are almost nonexistent. The pages of Oum Salah,Oum Ali,Oum Zaman and many other publish a large number of photos of prostitutes with faces covered. A minute after posting a photo of a girl wearing provocative underwear,Oum Salah gets at least 47 comments. If the customers want more,they have to send pre-paid charge cards. Another pimp,Oum Ali,says she dedicates an hour during the day and another at night to communicate with her customers via Facebook. Only Iraqi Women Would Understand,a secret Facebook group for women,imposes impossibly hard conditions on members wishing to join,so as to fend off men. The condition for joining is the following: girls must take a photo of their bare breasts with the name of the group written across them. Members of the group then decide whether to accept the request or not. Men go insane over a leaked post from this page,depicting an island of women that no man has ever visited, says al-Jaffal. Only one man ever succeeded in joining the page,but was found out soon after.
