Alumininum futures edges up on global cues

In thin trade,aluminium futures prices moved up by 0.63 per cent to Rs 112.40 per kg on Monday,largely in line with a firming trend in other base metals overseas.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter,aluminium for delivery in December gained 70 paise,or 0.63 per cent,to Rs 112.40 per kg,with a business turnover of 96 lots.

The metal for delivery in January also strengthened by 60 paise,or 0.54 per cent,to Rs 111.40 per kg,with a business turnover of five lots.

Market analysts said firming trend copper and other base metals in global market and pick up in demand at domestic spot markets.
