Volleyball final washed out

The final match between Symbiosis Secondary School and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in the under-14 boys inter-school volleyball tournament conducted by the Zilla Parishad on Friday was washed out following heavy rain.

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan took the first set 25-18 before rain interrupted play. The match had promised to be an exciting encounter owing to the fierce rivalry between these schools. This is the fourth time in a row that the two teams are meeting in the final of the under-14 section. Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan won last year8217;s final while Symbiosis won the two finals before that. The match is now scheduled to take place on Saturday along with the under-17 final.
