BDMA talk
The Bharuch District Management Association on Tuesday will organise a talk on Affluent Economy8217; at the GNFC auditorium at 6 pm. Jer Master of Mumbai, a post-graduate in paediatrics, will deliver a lecture on The Current Economic Crisis Prevailing in India and other Asian Countries8217; on the occasion.

Power theft
The Gujarat Electricity Board has detected power theft to the tune of Rs 80.53 lakh from power pilferers from various parts of the State between November 2 and 8. According to an official spokesman, out of the 5,575 agricultural, industrial and lighting connections checked, power theft and other irregularities were detected in 954 cases.

Photo contest
Tanmay Parekh has won the first prize in a photography competition Diwali Festival8217;, organised jointly by the Vadodara Photographers8217; Association and the Vadodara Municipal Corporation. While Madhu Khaire bagged the second prize, Parvez Agadi stood third.
