Final hearing in MSU repoll today
The final hearing in the petitions challenging the M S University repoll of will be held on Thursday. Meanwhile, students8217; counsel Narendra Tiwari has offered to withdraw all the other petitions if the university issued a fresh notification for the polls and conducted them anew. Returning officer N M Bhatt, however, said, 8220;The Syndicate, which will decide the question, will not be influenced by the court verdict.8221;

Gold card

Rinkesh Patel of Gujarat studying in the United States has been given the US president8217;s Award for Education in recognition of outstanding educational improvement in pursuit of academic excellence in 1998. President Bill Clinton has congratulated Patel.

Award for IMA
The Vadodara branch of the Indian Medical Association was adjudged as the best in the country for organising continuing medical education and other scientific programme during 1998, IMA secretary Kamal Jain informed recently.
