Interviews postponed
The interviews for appointment to the posts of Assistant Government Pleader and Additional Public Prosecutor for the district to be held on Wednesday at the office of the District Magistrate have been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances. The new dates for the interviews will be announced separately, District Magistrate C R Kharsan announced on Tuesday.
Patel ABVP sec8217;y
M S University student union leader and member of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Mayur Patel was recently selected as the Parishad State secretary. Incidentally, Patel is contesting for the post of vice-president in the MSU student union elections.
Special train
A poonam special train will run on January 2 between Vadodara and Dakor. The train will leave Vadodara at 10.55 am and reach Dakor at 12.20 p.m. It will leave Dakor at 3.25 pm and reach Vadodara at 5.20 pm.
Last date
The last date for sending applications to get unauthorised water and drainage connections legalised is December 31, according to a public notice issued by the VMC. Residents have been asked to submit applications in respective ward offices. Those who submit the applications before December 31, will have to pay less fine. For details, residents should contact the engineering wings of the ward offices.
VMC budget
The draft civic budget for 1999-2000 will be presented on January 18, according to Municipal Commissioner G R Aloria. Aloria said that once the by-elections for ward number 26 are over, the high-mast light at Kala Ghoda will be inaugurated on January 5.
