Contaminated water in Sama
After Alkapuri and Raopura, the residents of Dhanusya society in Sama area of the city have been receiving contaminated water for the last couple of days, despite making umpteen complaints to the VMC authorities. According to sources, sewage had also seeped into compound walls of three houses forcing the residents to dig outlet channels themselves.
Low pressureoPeople receiving water from Lalbaug tank and Harni tank will receive supply at a low pressure on Wednesday evening as the VMC will replace reflex valve at the Dodka well in Mahisagar. Those staying in Nagarwada Navidharti gravity will also get water at a low pressure.

Elocution contest
Reshma Maiyyudin Chauhan of the Fatehpura Girls School No 10, Hathikhana, run by the City Primary Education Committee, won the first prize in the elocution competition at the District Science Fair for girls organised here recently. Chauhan will now participate in the State-level competition to be held in Rajkot on January 7.
Yoga classes
The Vivekananda Kendra is organising yogasana classes for a month beginning January 1 from 6.30 to 7.30 in the morning and the evening. A special session for women will be held from 4 to 5 pm.
