NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 26: The Union Cabinet on Sunday night reviewed all aspects of the situation relating to the hijacking of the Indian Airlines airbus which is at present stationed at Kandahar in Afghanistan.

Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee briefed his colleagues on the events and assessment of the developments since the aircraft hijacked shortly after taking off from Kathmandu8217;s Tribhuvan international airport on December 24.

Though Cabinet committees have been frequently meeting to review the situation, this is the first time that the Union Cabinet discussed the issue.Meanwhile, a meeting with Opposition parties convened on Sunday Vajpayee has been postponed to Monday morning.
