Udai, Rohan triumph

MUMBAI, June 29: Favourites Udai Singh and Rohan Bhappu won the men8217;s and the under-19 boys8217; titles respectively in the Videocon Squash Classic tournament at the Otters Club, here today.

Top seed Udai defeated second seed Akhil Behl 9-4, 6-9, 9-3, 9-2 while Singapore-based Bhappu outlasted Gaurav Juneja 10-8, 7-9, 9-4, 9-5.

Earlier, top seed Mekhala Subedar and Chandrakant Pawar won the women8217;s and professionals8217; titles respectively. Mekhala beat Rhea Bhandari 9-3, 9-5, 9-0 while Pawar won 10-8, 9-1, 9-6 against Gopi Mohite

CYS HELD: Colaba Young Star and Mumbai Customs drew 1-1 in a WIFA Super Division football match. Kamelesh Mendon for Colaba Young Star and Hasmukh Baria were the scorers.

Dadar XI B8217; trounced Rebels 4-0 in a First Division match played earlier. Alex Ambrose 2, Simon D8217;Souza and Naresh Solanki were on target.
