LONDON, JANUARY 14: Former undisputed world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson was given permission on Thursday by the British home office to enter Britain. Only on Tuesday, the home office had said Tyson, who is due to fight Englishman Julius Francis in Manchester on January 29, might not be admitted into the country because of his 1992 rape conviction.

A relieved Francis, a relatively unknown boxer who stands to make a fortune from the fight, also told Sky News: 8220;I8217;m kind of happy still. There8217;s been a lot of ups and downs. On January 29, everything will be sorted out and I8217;ll be happy.8221;

Francis, who himself has served a prison term, said: 8220;People make mistakes, people change, that8217;s what I have done so I don8217;t see why Mike Tyson should be punished.8221;
