CHANDIGARH, Sept 11: While two persons were injured seriously in separate instances, including a stabbing incident, in Mani Majra town, the police recovered a knife from a Panchkula resident in the township.

Azad Islam, originally a resident of Bharpura village in Azamgarh district and currently residing in Bhensa Tiba village in Panchkula, was reportedly stabbed by Kishan Bahadur, a Nepalese employed at a dhaba in Mani Majra, late last night. Islam was rushed to the Public Health Centre. The police have arrested Bahadur and taken into possession the Khukri alleged to have been used for the said crime. A case has been registered.

Abdul Hameed, a resident of Indira Colony in the area was admitted to the PGI, after he was assaulted by some persons, earlier in the day.

Meanwhile, Jagdish alias Jaggi, a resident of Raipur village was arrested from near a cinema hall and a kamanidar knife reportedly recovered from his possession.
