Two arrested, two others booked for attacking head constable

SAS NAGAR, SEPT 15: The local police have registered a case under Sections 353, 186 and 34 of IPC in Sohana police station against four persons who allegedly attacked a head constable on duty when he went to deliver a parwana message to one of the villagers.

According to police sources, Head Constable Charan Singh had gone to Bharadpur to deliver a message for Karnail Singh and his wife Manjeet Kaur, on the complaint of one Gurcharan Singh of the same village, when he was attacked. Gurcharan Singh had alleged that Karnail Singh8217;s son was harassing his daughter. The complainant was also accompanying the policeman when they were attacked by Karnail Singh, Manjeet Kaur, Bhajan Singh, Karnail8217;s brother and one Krishna. While Karnail Singh and Manjeet Kaur have been arrested, the other two accused are absconding. Investigations into the matter are in progress.
