Trinamool Congress tonight said that ‘unethical’ activities had taken place which were condemnable.
“It was got up we know. Our party believes in transparency that is why I did not take part in confidence vote. We are following a go it alone policy,” Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee said.
“Lok Sabha election will be held in six months time. The common people are least concerned about the nuclear deal and the trust vote. The issue of price rise is very important, but I don’t think the government will be able to take any effective step,” she told reporters while commenting on the UPA government’s victory in the confidence vote.
She said just as display of wads of currency notes in Parliament was not correct, so also those who had resorted to ‘bribes’. “This is condemnable,” she said.
Banerjee reiterated that the Manmohan Singh government should have taken the people’s verdict on the nuclear deal.
