NEW DELHI, November 22: Modern School BK Road won the ninth Vidyawati Alagh Memorial basketball tournament in the boys section beating Green Field School 56-19 in the final. Siddharth 20 and Bhavya 19 were the principal contributors for the winners.

In the girls section. Indira Ideal School emerged the winners prevailing over Mount Carnel School 36-28. It was a close contested encounter. In the extra time Indira Ideal overcome Mount Carnel School. Monica 9 was the top scorer for the winners while Sushma8217;s 16 went in vain for the losers.

Air Force Bal Bharti School outwitted Chinmaya School 57-55 in the Daulat Ram memorial basketball tournament. Chrag Sharma 19 was the top scorer for Air Force Bal Bharti School while Sarmarth contributed 18 for Chinmaya School. In other matches, Apeejay SS bt Guru Harkishan Public School 35-20; Father Agnel8217;s School thrashed Ryan International School 57-39 while Mount St Marry8217;s School drubbed Modern School Vasant Vihar 60-46.

Vats elected
In the general body meeting of the Veterans Athletic Association, the followings office-bearers were elected unanimously. Kuldeep Vats president, Anil Ailawadi vice president, Harish Ohri Gen Sec, Rajiv Jai, Girdhar Kamran, AS Mahal, DR Mehta, LR Tyagi, Rakesh Mehra, Chander Lata, NP Singh all vice presidents, PS Mann jt sec, BD Bhatt treasurer, SS Yadav, RK Sharma, Ravi Joshi, AP Chitkara, SS Khurana all zonal secretaries, JB Sharma PRO, Renu Wasan, Swatantra, Usha Rehani, Vinita Ohri, AK Bahti.
