PUNE, Aug 26: The three Ks’ — Charu Kurkarni, Kashinath Khadkikar and Ranjeet Kamthekar — spelt doom for United Sports Cricket Club, sharing the spoils as they bowled PYC to a comfortable 92-run victory over PYC in the MCA Under-19 junior invitation league cricket tournament, here today.

USCC, replying to PYC’s first innings total of 277-runs, could score 222-runs after Ranjeet Kamthekar scalped four for 50. In the second innings, USCC, requiring to score 146-runs to win, crashed to a meagre 54, Kulkarni (4-15), Khardikar (3-18) and Ranjeet Kamthekar (3-15) being the wreckers.

PYC 277 & 90-2 bt United Sports CC 222 (Pravin Sandkar 54, Saeed Khat 44; Ranjeet Kamtekar 4-50) & 54 (C Kulkarni 4-15, K Khadkikar 3-18, R Kamthekar 3-15). Result: PYC won by 92 runs.

Sportsmen CC 80 & 105 (Abhijit Khalare 5-20, Hrishikesh Shinde 2-22) lost to Starts CC 179 & 26-2 (Nachiket Pingle 73, Sandeep Bhujbal 4-33). Result: Starts Club won by 8 wickets.

Club of Maharashtra 260 & 157-8 (Ritesh Wagwad 43, Darshan Deshpande 37, G Bansal 2-28, Inamdar 2-41) bt Parsee Gymkhana 175 (Asif Inamdar 55, Charu Dere 37; Parag Dahiwat 4-26, Pushkraj Joshi 2-25) & 124-7 (Imran Kureshi 23; Pushkraj Joshi 4-38). Result: CoM won on first innings lead.

Poona Club 93 & 111 (A Kulkarni 28; Ketan Tamhankar 6-40) bt Deccan Gymkhana 210-4 (Virag Awate 73, V Renuse 55, Sriram Velankar 39; Harish Ladkat 4-52). Result: Poona Club won by an innings and six runs.
