Three dacoits killed in encounter in Basti

Three of them were shot dead in the ensuing encounter, SP Anand Swaroop said adding, about four others managed to escape.

All the looted items and two country made pistols have been recovered from their possession, he said.

The dacoits earlier in the night committed dacoity in three houses and killed a watchman who resisted the act.
