Martyn shrugged his indifferent form in Test cricket at the right time.

While the 104 on Sunday can be compared to his twin-centuries against Sri Lankan last season while considering Australia8217;s similarly precarious position against the islanders then, Martyn rates this one higher owing to India8217;s superior spin strength. 8216;8216;It8217;s up there with the best hundreds, but better than any, since it came against two world-class spinners who were bowling well,8217;8217; Martyn said later. The right-hander looked fairly comfortable quietly fending off the spinners8217; initially vicious looking turn, and was particularly audacious against them when entering his 90s and clinching the ton.
