Thirteen arrested for begging

Chandigarh, July 11: The city police have arrested 13 persons on the charge of begging from different parts of the city here.

Those arrested include: Mohan Sharma, Nathu Ram, Raja Ram, Sant Ram and Mohan Lal, all residents of Shambhu Colony village in Rajpura; Colony Number 4 residents Durjan Dass, Shiv Giri, Nane and Narayan Giri; Sector 25 colony resident Kranti; Sector 41 resident Muni Lal; and Karnal district resident Rikhi Ram.

The police have registered separate cases under Section 151 of the Municipal Corporation Act.
