Third win for Young Sport

MUMBAI, January 19: Young Sports, who are having a good run this season, scored their third straight victory when they beat prodigal Union Bank of India 3-1 in the Bombay Hockey Association Senior Division League at the Mahindra Stadium, today.

S G Varma 2 and S K Sawant were the scorers for Young Sports who led 1-0 at the breather. Rajesh Matkari reduced the margin for the bankmen.

Earlier in the Second Division match, Bombay Republicans B held Larsen amp; Toubro to a 2-2 draw. J Gomes and Mahesh Jadhav scored for Republicans and Gordon Trinidade and Ronnie Patel accounted for L amp; T.
