Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is certainly more vocal abroad than at home. Dr Singh was annoyed the G-8 invited five 8220;emerging economies8221; and a handful of African countries for a chit-chat well after the resolutions had been passed, and he made his displeasure known8212;he told his lot that this attitude reminded him of the old colonial days when the Biggies made the rules. It was endorsed by his fellow leaders, who said if the G-8 accounted for 60 per cent of global trade, then they accounted for over 40 per cent of world population. Singh also found a supporter in Chinese President Hu Jintao who too took exception at being labelled an 8220;emerging economy8221;. So, the protesters on the streets in Heiligendamm in Germany had company with India, China, Brazil and others.
