
Chandigarh, Aug 22: Imagine a programmable refrigerator that can order food items when the fridge is empty. Or a washing machine, based on windows operating system, that can regulate the amount of water or detergent.
This phase of intelligence in consumer durables is likely to take place in the future, according to M. Ramaswamy, CEO, Information Technology Research Center, Hyderabad. Ramaswamy, was delivering a quot;Technology talkquot; on computers organised by quot;E-connectquot; here today. The seminar was organised by Karan Mangat, Director Operations of KT Ltd. Speaking in the occasion, Mangat stated that nearly 130 youngsters participated in the seminar.
