Going by the international standards, the book has a separate section titled as teachers8217; guide. It breaks up the course into 120 teaching hours including all components such as lectures, computer exposure and film demonstrations.

8220;It recommends what to teach in the classroom or laboratory and what should be left to the students for self study and analysis8221;, said Joshi emphasising the need to give a free hand to students to exploring the subject by themselves.

The course cautions teachers not to spend undue time on trivial matters but to stress foundations, logic, applications and frontier ares, he added.
