Woman killed in bus mishap
A 22-year-old woman riding a scooter was crushed under the wheels of a city bus on the Nehru Bridge between Chowk and Adajan Patia on Thursday morning. The Rander police said, the accident took place at around 11 am when one Mamtaben, who was riding her vehicle GCW 3990 was hit by the railway station-bound ST bus GJ 1 Z 937 on Nehru Bridge. The driver surrendered before the Adajan Patia police.

Governor8217;s visit
State Governor Sunder Singh Bhandari will visit Surat district on an official day-long visit on Saturday. He will arrive at 4:30 pm in the city and inaugurate a leptospirosis control workshop at Gandhi Smruti Bhawan at 5 pm. He will also be present at the screening of Dadani Vahali Dikri,8217; a Gujarati film at Gitanjali theatre on Saturday night before leaving for the state capital on Sunday morning.

Free camp
