
The Haryana Vidhan Sabha today passed the supplementary demands, amounting to Rs 339.51 crore, which constitute the revenue expenditure to the extent of Rs 255.62 crore and capital expenditure of the order of Rs 83.89 crore. Out of the total supplementary demands, Rs 241.66 crore relates to non-plan expenditure and Rs 97.85 crore to the state plan expenditure.8220;All efforts would be made to meet the additional burden on state ex-chequer by the adjustments of expenditure priorities and through likely economy measures,8217;8217; said Birender Singh. Earlier participating in the discussion Dr Sushil Indora of the INLD, questioned the Rs 1,600 crore power bill waiver scheme for the farmers when there was no power in the state. Randeep Singh Surjewala said the previous governments had not paid attention to increasing the power production in the state, while the present Bhupinder Singh Hooda government was making efforts to increase power production by 6,078 MW .
