Students sing to create awareness

CHANDIGARH, Aug 20: A group song competition for school students was organised by Population Education Cell of State Institute of Education at GMSSSS-23.. quot;Badhti Aabaadi hai barbaadiquot; and other such themes on population education were the subject of the songs.

In the model category, Shishu Niketan School, Sector 22 bagged the first prize, GMSSS-23 won the second prize. The students of GMHS-36 and GMSSS, Sector 20-D won consolation prizes. Government High School, Sector 41 won the first prize in the urban category. The consolation prize was bagged by GSSS-Sector 47. Government Girls High School, Sector 25 bagged the first prize in the rural category. The consolation prizes went to GHS, Khuda Alisher and GHS, Manimajra.
