State effects another bureaucratic reshuffle

MUMBAI, JAN 9: The Democratic Front government has transferred eight bureaucrats on Friday. According to a press release issued by the Mantralaya, Additional Collector, Mumbai, Sanjay Sawant has been promoted and has been appointed as Project Officer, Tribal Department. Sawant will be posted at Dharni Amravati.

N Y Jantre, Administrator, Mumbai Agricultural Produce Market Committee, Navi Mumbai has also been promoted as Deputy Secretary, Agriculture and Marketing Department and will be posted at Mantralaya.

District Collector of Parbhani Baldev Singh has been transferred as Deputy Secretary, Urban Development Department. Singh has been replaced by D S Zagde, Associate Professor, YASHDA, Pune.

Sanjeev Jaiswal, Additional Commissioner, Tribal Development has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Nasik Zilla Parishad in place of S A Tayade who has been appointed as Deputy Secretary, Women and Children8217;s Welfare Department. CEO of Osmanabad Zilla Parishad, S U Bonde has been transferred as DistrictCollector, Buldhana in place of M N Bobde who has been appointed Deputy Secretary in Urban Development Department, the release said.

Two weeks ago several IAS officers, including Housing Secretary Govind Swarup, were also transferred. Swarup was moved to the Culture Department and was replaced by Chief Executive Officer of the Maharashtra Maritime Board, Vishwas Dhumal and Principal Secretary to Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, A K D Jadhav was transferred as Managing Director, SICOM.
