
PATIALA, Oct 7: The employees working in the state government and semi-government offices of the various departments today organised a protest rally here on the call of the joint action committee of Punjab and Union Territory employees against the state government8217;s attitude towards the strike of the ministerial employees.
While addressing the protest rally, the leaders of the employees including Ram Asra, Darshan Singh Lubana, Prem Kumar, Tirveni Parshad Tiwari, Roop Lal, Sher Singh, Bisat Jagmohan Nanulakha, Upwinder Singh Guli and Hem Raj Sokhal alleged that the state government had tried to befool the ministerial employees through the advertisement published in most of the newspapers. Calling the advertisement a lie, they said nobody accepted this type of attempt from the government.
The leaders alleged that the class 111 and 1V employees had failed to get anything beneficial through the proposed formula under which these employees would get adjustments after eight, 16, 24 and 32 years of service. They said on the other hand, Class 1 and 11 categories would get three promotional avenues.
