
CHENNAI, July 31: A series of programmes in several Indian languages including Hindi, Tamil Bengali and Urdu will be telecast live on BBC World Service8217;s 8216;South Asian Language Broadcasts8217; on August 14-15 to mark the 50 years of independence in India and Pakistan. The programme includes the first first joint Hindi-Urdu news on the anniverary celebration in the two countries, and the programme 8216;Freedom at Midnight8217;, Vijay Rana8217;s reconstruction of August 14-15, 1947 through politicians, historians and the public.
