Just two weeks back Sachin Tendulkar confessed that the recovery time between one-dayers is taking its toll on his body these days. However, his celebrated opening partner in ODIs, Sourav Ganguly, today made it clear that the cricket calendar, no matter how cramped it gets, isn8217;t a problem at all for him.
Speaking to reporters on his return to the city in the wee hours, Ganguly brushed aside questions on whether the international cricket calendar, cramped as it appears, is indeed affecting the players. 8220;It doesn8217;t pose any problems at all with us. We are used to it,8221; Ganguly said, responding to a question on the Indian team8217;s arduous, busy twin tour of Ireland and England.
8220;This is how international cricket is, it8217;s not an issue at all,8221; the 34-year-old said, playing down the issue. Terming India8217;s overall performance in England on the tour as 8220;outstanding8221;, Ganguly reckoned it would be wrong to brand the team as 8220;chokers8221; for failing at the final hurdle 8212; seventh ODI in London.
