Congress president Sonia Gandhi today brushed away the ongoing Tiranga Yatra of former MP chief minister Uma Bharati, saying her party was interested in talking of only development. 8216;8216;Hum log vikas ke bare me baat kar rahe hain is ke alawa kuch nahin we are talking about development and nothing else,8217;8217; Sonia replied to queries on the yatra.

The Congress chief also advised the Uttar Pradesh government to concentrate on development and leave politics to parties. 8216;8216;It is better if the job of raking up political issues is left to political parties and the governments should concentrate only on works of development. But the difficulty is that the governments themselves get involved in politics which is not fair,8217;8217; she said after inaugurating a computer training programme at Feroze Gandhi Polytechnic. 8216;8216;The development of Uttar Pradesh has come to a halt in the past few years because of this reason8230;the people need development, not political slogans.8217;8217;

Sonia said it was her endeavour to take the country on the path of development as dreamt by former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi.
