SMS your FIR now

Gurgaon Police today launched an unique SMS service through which anybody can file his complaint or lodge an FIR by sending an SMS to 0124-100. Police Commissioner Mohinder Lal presented this newly introduced service before the representatives of Resident Welfare Associations RWA . He said on the request of Gurgaon Police, the Ministry of Communications has allotted them the number 100 for sending SMS.

This is a toll free number. A person can send a message to the Gurgaon police which would call back and reach the spot immediately. The time taken by police in reaching on the spot after receiving SMS would be recorded.

He also launched the official website of Gurgaon Police and said that all the information pertaining to the police in Gurgaon is now available just a click away. Now anybody can know the status of his complaint, passport or service verification by logging on to gurgaonpolice.net. Complaints and FIR can also be lodged online. The contact numbers of all police officers deputed in Gurgaon are given on website and the forms and applications for obtaining various licences can be downloaded.
