Swim coach8217;s crocodile plan foiled
DARWIN:
A swimming coach planned to spice up his training sessions by putting a three-metre 10-ft crocodile in the pool to make his athletes go faster. Mark Davies8217; plan was foiled when the reptile park which was to supply the crocodile backed down, while Darwin City Council said it would never had let him get away with it anyway. Davies said he planned to drug the crocodile and wire its jaws shut before putting it in the normal pool with his squad of swimmers, aged 7-20.quot;I had told them that to help them swim faster they should imagine that a three-metre crocodile was chasing them, so I thought, because our sponsor is Crocodylus Park, we might be able to actually get a real crocodile,8221; Davies said on Thursday.
