India win Shrajah Cup
India won the three nation Sharjah Cup cricket tourney as they recorded an amazing six wicket win over Australia in the final at Sharjah tonight. The hero of the win was the birthday boy Sachin Tendulkar who scored a magical 136.

Golden goal
The first knock-out game of the 54th Santosh Trophy football championship went into extra-time at the Nehru Stadium here today. Maharashtra were knocked out by a golden goal in the second half of extra-time by Goa as they entered the third consecutive final. The goal was scored by Francis Silviera.
