
Sahara Airlines claim title
All-round performance by Anoop Rana (2 for 26 and 35 not out) and Mohinder Pal’s 3 for 17 helped Sahara Airlines to win the Sports Sun cricket tournament beating KN Colts by four wickets at Paschim Vihar sports complex.
Anoop Rana, Amar Singh and Jagjit Singh were the batting heroes for Sahara Airlines while Anand Mishra (3 for23) was the most successful bowler for KN Colts. Anoop Rana was adjudged man of the match’ while Jagat Singh and Anand Mishra (both KN Colts) were declared best batsman and best bowler, respectively. Vikas Chandan (Sahara Airlines) clinched man of the tournament’ award.

Bhupinder shines
A fine 42 by Bhupinder Chadha and an excellent display by Amit Verma (27 and 2 for 21) enabled Citizen Clun XI outplay Tilak Nagar Colts by 36 runs in a limited overs match at Paschim Vihar.

Goel advances
Vijay Goel entered the quarter-final of Meharban Singh Dhupia memorial billiard and snooker tournament defeating Amit Kapoor 83-6, 30-44, 36-49, 68-14, 62-11 at Chelmsford Club.
In other matches, Rajat Taneja bt Darmeet Manik 97-17, 90-31, 66-30 while Atul Aggarwal bt Sanjay Maini 62-17, 51-35, 68-45. Rajesh Belhl prevailed over Dimple Arora 47-25, 39-50, 53-23, 24-58, 53-41.
GE Capital win
An unbeaten 78 by Rahul Dixit helped GE Capital to clinch the sixth Teri Cup tournament title outplaying Teri by six wickets at Harbaksh stadium.KP Eashwar (36) and T Ramesh (35) were the top scorers for the losers while Rahul Dixit (78 not out) and Mitesh Sharma (27) were the principal contributors for the winners.
Following players were awarded for their performance during the tournament: Rahul Dixit (best batsman, GE Capital); RK Pachauri (best bowler, Teri); Dharmendar Rawat (best fielder, Teri); Rakesh Chopra (best wicketkeeper, GE Capital); KP Eashwar (man of the series, Teri).
Agarsen tourney

Pradeep excels
A quickfire 60 by Pradeep Bisht and equally fine spell by Sushil Kumar (3 for 19) powered Alpine to a two-wicket win over Ganga Agro Seeds in the second Hari Singh Tyagi TYCA league.
Sushil Kumar and Sudhanshu Sharma claimed three wickets each giving 19 runs each while Zaheer’s 4 for the loss of 20 went in vain for the losers.
