Inter-school events from August

The Multigames inter-school sports competition organised by the Directorate of Sports, Maharashtra will commence in the first week of August. Harris, Giles Shields

The last date for the MSSA-Colgate Inter Schools Harris Shield and Giles Shield cricket tournament is July 24. Entries from the schools should reach the MSSA centre, Azad Maidan beforethe date.

Open Football Tournament

The Royal Boys of Vesawa will be hosting a weekend football tournament from July 31 to August 31 with the first prize as Rs 11,111. More details can be had from Pralhad Male (6343024) and Mangesh Bhanji (6329727).

Badminton camp

Hosheidar Panthaky, Supraket and Varun Parikh won the singles in the group A, B, C in the Badminton For You camp which was held from June 13 at University Stadium. Srividya and Kunal won the friends doubles and the Family doubles was claimed by Ankit and Kusum. Mansi Kothari, Kithila Barkar, mansi Shah and Hosheidar Panthaky were awarded scholarships.

Ranking TT

The P J Hindu Gymkhana Major Ranking table tennis tournament will be held at the Gymkhana from August 2 to 7.

The last date for entries is July 29, 6 p.m. at the office.

Monsoon football

The Bombay YMCA Department of Physical Education will organise its second Monsoon Football tournament on July 24, 25 at the Karnataka Sports Association grounds.The last date is July 20.
