Bhakra Beas win

Bhakra Beas Management Board defeated Power Grid Corporation of India 15-3, 15-1, 15-8 to win the Power Sector Volleyball Tournament here on Thursday. This is the fourth successive time that BBMB is winning the title.

Harjeet Singh, Shashi Pal and Kewal Singh were the main architects of Bhakra team8217;s victory.

Naptha Jhakri Power Corporation secured the third position defeating Tehri Hydro Development Corporation 15-12, 15-10, 15-0.

A.I.Bunet, Director Personnel, National Hydroelectric Power Corporation gave away the prizes. The tournament organised by the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation was played on knock-out basis. Eight power sector teams participated in the tournament.

Sandesh shines

Sandesh Pararkar 55 n.o starred in Airport Authority of India8217;s nine-wicket victory over Percepts Advt, Mumbai in the Sahara Inter-Airlines Cricket Tournament at the Harbaksh Stadium.

Airport Authority of India: 89 in 35.3 overs Mahesh Chand 20, Sandesh Pararkar 2 for 1, S.Mullah 2 for 10, Atul Ranade 2 for 22.

Percepts Advt, Mumbai: 91 for 1 in 11.1 overs Sandesh Pararkar 55 n.o, Shailender Singh 26.

Mohan excels

Left arm medium pacer Mohan Lal 4 for 20 bowled Delhi Transport Corporation to a four-wicket victory over Century c.c in the DDCA League at the Kotla ground.

Century c.c: 171 in 40 overs Ranjit Mehra 53, Rajesh Lucky 25, Mohan Lal 4 for 20.

Dhawan honoured
