Chess tourney at Dombivli

A Chess tournament will be held at Dombivli on October 11 and 12 at the Suyog Mangal Karyalaya, Tilak Road, Dombivli E by the Kulkarni group. the Entry fee is Rs 100 and the age groups are under-10 and under-14. Tennis and Cricket coaching camp

The Vazirani National Sports Academy will be holding coaching camps in tennis and cricket from October 11 to 31. The timings will be 6.30 am to 10.30 am and 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm. Collegiate Selection trials

A selection trial to pick the Mumbai University Football teams will be held on October 9 at 3.00 pm. The principals of the colleges are expected to forward the names of four outstandingplayers from their institution for the trials.

MCA U-16 selection trials

The Mumbai Cricket Association8217;s under-16 selection trials for the Shatkar Trophy will be held on two different days 8212; to pick a team from Mira Road to Dahanu on October 12 at Wankhede stadium at 2.00 pm; a team from Thane to Ambarnath and New Bombay 8212; on October 12 at Wankhede stadium at 9.00 am and to select four teams for players from Greater Mumbai. The trials will be held at Wankhede Stadium at 9.00 am on October 16.

Roller Skating Dist championships

The Central Mumbai Roller Skating Association will be conducting the third district championships in the sub-junior, junior and senior sections for boys and girls from October 10 to 12. Entry forms have to be submitted before 7.00 pm on October 9. The past students of Don Bosco Andheri will be organising a sports festival from October 17 to 25 at St. Dominic Savio school, Mahakali Cave Road, Sher-e-Punjab, Andheri E. The games are in football, cricket, basketball and throwball.

Maharashtra Carrom Association will be conducting a selection trial for under-18 boys and girls to pick the state team for the junior National and Inter-State Carrom Tournament to be held at Baroda from October 30. The trials would be held on October 11 at the Worli Sports Club Hall.
